Chard was King!

Swiss chard was the winner in hardy production and most desired among our more experienced and aged visitors. The plants outlasted the lettuce beds which bolted every four to five weeks and the chard's leaves can be a limited substitute in salads. The best was added as stir-fry or steamed as a "spinach." Children hate looking at it until they taste it.
