"Resisting Empire Tour" planning details.

Haymarket Books is pleased to announce the planning of a multi-author "Resisting Empire" tour to take place October 15th - November 15th. We'll be featuring Dahr Jamail, along with Camilo Mejia, members of Iraq Veterans Against the War, and many other authors who are releasing Iraq and antiwar-themed books with us this fall. A full list of the authors and info about their books is below. We're also very excited to be joined at points by our friends Jeremy Scahill and Laila Al-Arian, authors from Nation Books, who is cosponsoring the tour.

Haymarket is looking forward to partnering with Dahr's many allies and supporters again to bring his powerful voice against the war to as many audiences around the country as possible. Contact Sarah Macaraeg at sarah.macaraeg@gmail.com if you'd like to discuss hosting an event or have any suggestions on how to bring the Dahr to your locale. Please note that as tours such as this -- Resisting Empire -- do not come with major financial backing, we will (unfortunately) likely be unable to fill requests for events that do not include some level of financial assistance in covering the associated costs.

But please feel free to send your questions, requests for events or cosponsorship, suggestions on local authors you think should join us when we hit town, etc.!

Finally, an fyi on our line-up: While we expect our various authors to cross paths at certain points for some very powerful joint events, costs prohibit our ability to tour our complete line up nationally and pair up multiple speakers on a regular basis. Authors will mainly be holding regional events of their own, but where we have help with costs, we can tour more extensively and hold joint events.
