Consortium News "Challenge Grant" includes Three Book Set & more!

From Editor Robert Parry:

As we approach our 15th year providing independent investigative journalism on the Internet, we have received a 2-for-1 "challenge grant" of up to $20,000. Under this challenge, the donor has offered a $20,000 contribution if we can raise $10,000 in other donations in the next two weeks.

That means for every $1 we raise, the donor will match it with $2 - but we must first raise the $10,000.

So, this is an opportunity to make your contribution triple in value. You can make a tax-deductible donation either by credit card by clicking here. Or by sending a check or money order to: Consortium for Independent Journalism (CIJ); 2200 Wilson Blvd.; Suite 102-231; Arlington VA 22201. [You can find a mail-in donation form by clicking here.]

Toward fulfilling the challenge grant, we also can count purchases of the three-book set (Lost History, Secrecy & Privilege, and Neck Deep). For details, click here.

And, we can count any commitments for "Bob and Ray" talks by investigative reporter Robert Parry and former CIA analyst Ray McGovern. Money raised from these talks goes to support the articles that you see at Consortiumnews.com. For details on scheduling a talk, click here.

Please help as much as you can so we can continue doing our part in building a truthful foundation on which a strong democracy can rise again.

Thanks.
Robert Parry, Editor

Robert Parry broke many of the Iran-Contra stories in the 1980s for the Associated Press and Newsweek. He founded Consortiumnews.com in 1995 as the Internet's first investigative magazine. He saw it as a way to combine modern technology and old-fashioned journalism to counter the increasing triviality of the mainstream U.S. news media.
