Electric Politics Podcast: Marshall Auerback & the Economy

Dear Michael,

Big money's useful idiots form a working majority in both the Republican and Democratic parties. Within the latter, "neo-liberalism" or an irrational worship of "free markets" stands squarely in the way of genuine reform. Opposition to the neo-liberal view of things can't be reinforced too much; every critique is helpful but perhaps most helpful of all are those that come from within the financial services sector itself, from people who know what they're talking about.

Marshall Auerback has a great deal of experience in the world of big money, yet his intellectual honesty leads to a powerful critique of our ruling paradigms. It was a pleasure to talk with Marshall and I learned a lot. And I wonder whether the fact that he's Canadian, educated in the UK, may have something to do with his independence of mind?
