An Emergency Report, 7 -11 pm

Afghanistan: Making the Case Against Perpetual War!

We’re knee deep in the big muddy, 9 years to be exact and General
McChrystal says to push on, adding another U.S. 40,000 - 80,000
combat troops to the 67,000 U.S.and 52,000 Coaltion frorces already
in Afghanistan. With a montage of sound from Robert Greenwald’s
new film “Rethink Afghanistan”, and Tariq Ali from a lecture titled
“Danger Ahead: Afghanistan & Pakistan”, as well as a painful but
stirring group of theatrical readings by literary figures & legal scholars
entitled “Memos, and Testimonies from the "War on Terror" and a call
to action by anti-war activist Tom Hayden, we’ll make the case for
ending the war in Afghanistan – a disaster which otherwise may
last through our life time and time yet to come.
