a great review from Roger Ebert didn't hurt. In fact, the movie's been
drawing raves wherever it appears - and sparking lively discussions as well.
LAWRENCE, KS - DEC 11-17The long-awaited Kansas premiere! Beginning on Friday, December 11, 2009, it'll play for an entire week at the historic Liberty Hall, 644 Massachusetts Street in Lawrence. The 7:00pm screening on the first night will feature an appearance by one of the movie's stars, Donn Teske, who's a true Prairie Populist and President of the Kansas Farmers Union.
Tickets are $8, $6 for seniors, and on Wednesdays and Thursdays students pay only $6. Tickets to the Friday, December 11 7:00 pm screening featuring Donn Teske will be $10, $8 for students. SAN FRANCISCO, CA - JAN 1-7 For its West Coast premiere, the movie will play a weeklong run at either the
Lumiere or
Opera Plaza theaters in San Francisco, from Jan 1-7, 2010.
The filmmakers will appear at the Friday, Jan 1 and Saturday, Jan 2 screenings. Thomas Frank is slated to join us on Saturday.
