March for a Bold Climate Change Treaty
Gather at Watson Park, 7th and Kentucky
Join local environmental and civic organizations in support of a bold Copenhagen global climate treaty. This is a critical time for the planet. Either the world commits now to an ambitious, fair, and binding global climate deal, or we risk the long-term health and viability of our planet (www.350.org is a good website for more details).
We will march in Lawrence from 7th and Massachusetts to 11th and Massachusetts. We will gather at Watson Park (7th and Kentucky) at 10:00am. This will be a peaceful, family-friendly, rule-abiding gathering.
Our march will precede the Holiday Parade at 11:00 this Saturday along the same route.
Please bring signs voicing support for strong action at Copenhagen and our commitment to work for a healthy planet.
