Last Chance for Fall Fundraiser at Consortium News!

From Editor Robert Parry

For 13 years, Consortiumnews.com has challenged the misguided media powers in the United States, both the ideological right-wing and the complicit mainstream news media. We have been there with you fighting when reality has been turned inside out and truth put on its head.

But we have survived only with the help of our readers. So, if you haven't yet, please consider a tax-deductible donation to our fall fund drive, which ends today (Monday).

Today is also the last chance to get an autographed gift copy of one of our books for a contribution of $50, instead of the usual $100. (Plus, if you've already contributed less than $50 - say $25 - and make another donation to total $50, we will send along a book of your choice. We'll do the same for people who make monthly donations.)

You can pick from any one of three books - Neck Deep, Secrecy & Privilege, or Lost History. Just send us an e-mail making your selection and telling us the best address to use for mailing.

All three books fill in important missing chapters of recent American history. They also make for outstanding holiday gifts.

You can make a secure contribution by credit card at the Consortiumnews.com Web site or by sending a check to:

Consortium for Independent Journalism (CIJ)
Suite 102-231
2200 Wilson Blvd.
Arlington, VA 22201

(For readers wanting to use PayPal, you can address contributions to our account, which is named after our e-mail address: "consortnew@aol.com.")

Thank you for your crucial support.

Robert Parry, Editor

Robert Parry broke many of the Iran-Contra stories in the 1980s for the Associated Press and Newsweek. He founded Consortiumnews.com in 1995 as the Internet's first investigative magazine. He saw it as a way to combine modern technology and old-fashioned journalism to counter the increasing triviality of the mainstream U.S. news media.
