Consortiumnews.com launches important fundraising goal.

We have just started our crucial year-end fundraising drive, with the goal of raising $50,000 so we can pay our freelance writers, like Ray McGovern, and maintain our small staff.

For the full story, go to http://www.consortiumnews.com.

Please contribute what you can. You can make a tax-deductible donation either by credit card online or by mailing a check to: Consortium for Independent Journalism (CIJ); Suite 102-231; 2200 Wilson Blvd.; Arlington, VA 22201.

(For readers wanting to use PayPal, you can address contributions to our account, which is named consortnew@aol.com).

(Since CIJ is a 501-c-3 tax-exempt organization, you also can direct donations to us through your company's charitible-giving programs.)

For a donation of $100, we will send you a gift, autographed copy of Neck Deep in paperback (or another book by Robert Parry, either Lost History or Secrecy & Privilege - just ask for the substitution).

For a donation of $150 or more, we will send the hard cover of Neck Deep. (Or you can ask us to substitute, Robert Parry 's 1993 rare book, Trick or Treason: The October Surprise Mystery, while our limited supplies last.)

If you can't donate right now, please help by forwarding our e-mail alerts to friends who might be interested in what we do
.
As always, thanks for your support.
